Cabezon, Rio Rancho is one of New Mexico’s largest master-planned communities. Just north of the Albuquerque city limits in Sandoval County, Cabezon is conveniently located in the heart of one of the state’s fastest growing cities. The City of Vision’s growth is reflected by the encompassing restaurants, retail shopping centers and the abundance of activities for residents seeking an active lifestyle.

The breathtaking views, southwest climate and solar exposure were the influence for the architectural styles of the community. The subdivision entrances were designed using decorated stucco, colorful handmade tiles and stacked stone pilasters. Landscaped pedestrian trails throughout the Cabezon neighborhoods, feature custom designed stucco wall panels with large suns handcrafted by local artisans.

One of the many neighborhood amenities is Cabezon Park, the community’s largest dog friendly recreational space. Movies Under the Stars, Pet Parades and Rio Rancho’s Largest Yard Sale, are just a few of the events that occur annually at the 13 acre park. An entertaining and popular feature is the onsite Community Center, which features an in-ground swimming pool and recreation facility. Additional resident amenities include a children’s playground, picnic tables and a multipurpose athletic field.

Once complete, the prominent 900 acre subdivision will be host to approximately 3,500 homes built by nine different award-winning local and national home builders.
